This clamp is utilized during the levator resection procedure; the pins and grooves firmly hold the levator aponeurosis edge. The ability to reattach the handle on either side of the clamp facilitates the severing of levator from superior tarsal border when the handle is in the superior position and the release of the horns as well as attachment of tarsus to levator with the handle in the inferior position.
